Tourist Attractions in Jammu & Kashmir
Srinagar
Srinagar is a unique city because of its lake - The Dal, Nagin & Anchar. Mughal Gardens,Hazratbal are some of the famous tourist attractions.
Pahalgam
Kashmir's premier resort, cool even during the height of summer. Around Pahalganm are many places of interest, The beautiful of these is the huge, undulating meadow of Baisaran, surrounded by thickly wooded forests of pine. Hajan, on the way to Chandanwari is an idyllic spot for a picnic. Film goers will recognise it instantly as it has been the location of several movie scenes.
Gulmarg
Gulmarg looks like a fantasy set in a film, and not surprisingly, has been the venue of many films. All around are snow capped mountains, and on a clear day you can see all the way to Naga Parbat in one direction and Srinagar in another.
Sonamarg
Sonamarg has, its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh meanders alog here and abounds with Trout and Mahseer. Ponies can be hired for trip upto Thajiwas glacier- a major attraction during the summer months.
Aerosports
J&K Tourism has introduced Paragliding at Sanasar and Jammu. May - June and September - October are suitable months for paragliding at Sanasar.

Trekking
A range of Trekking options is available in the Jammu area. Summer is the season when all the routes are open but some trekking routes are open in winter.
Skiing
At Patnitop (Jammu), ski courses are conducted in the months of January and February. During the Winter months, there are introductory courses for tourists.
